Mojo Monday "Oh Baby" Card

Get inspired by the new Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! (MOJO277) This card was simple to make and the colors really pop! A few special  items I used are Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration exclusives. Earn them FREE starting with a $50 product order from Jan. 22 - March 22. Details and the Sale-A-Bration brochure are on the right hand side of my blog.

The Tangerine Tango Ribbon (exclusively available during Sale-A-Bration as part of the Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack)  is thin, easy to work with and gives a satiny finish. The patterned paper I used is also a Sale-A-Bration exclusive!

I must also leave you with a picture of my little love bug, Wyatt. He was patiently waiting for another bite of pears & mango and had the CUTEST "I'm waiting" face EVER. I love it!!!!

Sweet Stampin,
Charlene ;)

Mojo Monday - Nautical Card - The Open Sea

Hi Everyone!

I saw this sketch challenge for Mojo Monday and immediately thought of the stamp set The Open Sea by Stampin' Up and the design paper Nautical Expedition. Both are available in the Summer Mini Catalog until August 31st!

I love the colors because they are not only nautical, but they are patriotic as well! It was easy to incorporate them into this challenge. Hope you like it and come back again soon for more ideas!! :)

Mojo Monday Using Stampin Up Summer Mini

Hi Everyone!
http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
I was pretty happy about Stampin Up's new Summer Mini as there are a couple of cute stamp sets that I love and they are versatile! I love them all but particularly The Open Sea on page 9 and Fabulous Florets on page 22-23. And check out those gorgeous matching design papers on page 8 and 23! I can also see a nice 4th of July card using those blues and reds from the Nautical Expedition DSP.

Today I'm sharing a card with you that I created for the wonderful challenge over at Mojo Monday. Here is the sketch:

I used a layering of my stamp technique by stamping the flower 3 times. Then I cut away some of the petals on each one. I used dimensionals to stick them all together and it gets a cute 3-D layered effect.
I love this stamp set and DSP, it's such bright, happy colors! Here is my card...

Also, I'm getting married in only 23 more days!! I'm so excited. I also have some GREAT news, which I can't share with everyone yet, but I will SOON.

Have a lovely day!
Charlene xoxo

Mojo Monday on Wednesday morning!

Funny how I always seem to be behind and my Mojo happens on Wednesday! LOL
Well, I sort of got my creativity mojo back...or I stole it from my sister in law, Lou. (mwuahahaha!--->evil laugh)
We did a bunch of cards yesterday so I'll be posting them all today. Here we go!
Here's a little Mojo Monday Challenge for you. I combined this sketch with the Hero Arts Challenge this week which was to create a Christmas card using non-Christmas colors (and use at least 1 Hero Arts stamp). I love this metallic paper flower from Making Memories. I used the snowflake cuttlebug folder on the bright pink shimmer paper. Check out Lou's card HERE.

Mojo Monday #109 on a Wednesday!

This has been a busy week scrapping and making cards, oh and housework too! (LOL) So I haven't had much time to do all my challenges. I'm getting some done at least and that makes me happy. So many challenges, so little time. ;) I found time today to do the Mojo Monday Challenge 109. I did some distressing of the edges, used Ranger distress ink in Broken China, clear embossed a Hero Arts stamped image, then added more distress ink. I also used some distress embossing in Walnut Stain on one of the dark leaves. The patterned paper is from Stampin' Up and the ribbon is from Maya Road. The leaves & acorn, I just love, is Autumn Splendor from Stampin' Up.

And here is a close-up of the distress embossing...
