Cupcake Craft Challenge # 64 - A Sketch

I created this card for the Cupcake Craft Challenge #64 - A sketch and the Color Throwdown Challenge. But it's kinda funny, I missed the date to get the entry in for Color Throwdown! I think I'll still link it up for grins. :)

I used all Stampin Up paper in rich razzleberry, bordering blue and elegant eggplant. I ran a piece of white cardstock through the cuttlebug and used a foam pad to brush on rich razzleberry ink. I distressed the edge of the bordering blue with a little of the same color and colored in the flower with razzleberry. I even found a flower by Making Memories that was about the same color! The stamp set is my sister in law's, Delight in Life by Stampin' Up. Check out her card too, HERE.

Moxie Fab - Plum Crazy!

Cath over at Moxie Fab World has gone Plum Crazy! LOL That is the challenge over at Moxie Fab World. To... "Capture its depth. Sample its nature. Command its presence. Ensnare its mystery."
So when creating this card I really wanted it to be simple so I could enhance all the plumness about it. The paper is elegant eggplant & whisper white by Stampin Up. The ink is also elegant eggplant. The ribbon is Making Memories and the black rhinestones are by Basic Grey.

Check out Lou's card HERE (my sister in law).

Mojo Monday on Wednesday morning!

Funny how I always seem to be behind and my Mojo happens on Wednesday! LOL
Well, I sort of got my creativity mojo back...or I stole it from my sister in law, Lou. (mwuahahaha!--->evil laugh)
We did a bunch of cards yesterday so I'll be posting them all today. Here we go!
Here's a little Mojo Monday Challenge for you. I combined this sketch with the Hero Arts Challenge this week which was to create a Christmas card using non-Christmas colors (and use at least 1 Hero Arts stamp). I love this metallic paper flower from Making Memories. I used the snowflake cuttlebug folder on the bright pink shimmer paper. Check out Lou's card HERE.

Friday Friends with Flair!

Today is a great day!

One, because it's Friday Friends with Flair showcasing Unity Stamps, and two, I'm alive and healthy {thank you God}! I feel so blessed to have the life I have in this awesome free country. {Thanks to all our hardworking dedicated military personnel!}
I hope you're enjoying your Friday and the amazing creations by all these talented beautiful women that are participating in Friends with Flair! Be sure to stop by Unity's blog HERE to get the list of all the blogs.

I love Unity stamps because they are so unique. They have a very random wonderful selection of stamps in their kits! I love how they slipped in a few wedding stamps in the last two KOM's. I used a couple here on this layout (also 52 sketches...52 weeks challenge), which is a present for my friend Kwang who got married in August. I used the Mr. & Mrs. stamp and the "one love <3 one life" stamp in my journaling. (both are from the Sept & Oct KOM's)

And here's a close-up so you can really see those Unity stamps! :)

And in case you didn't get enough Unity yet...I inked up another stamp from the Oct KOM and used it on the cover of a travel album (Making Memories) I made for our vacations. I used a mask with some glimmer mist on the cover, some bling and thickers ( I love thickers!).

Be sure to enter my blog candy giveaway HERE and check out my screamin deal for the Oct Unity Store Kit HERE. Hope you all have a blessed day!

Apron Strings #10, RSC Oct & Unity Week #3

Happy Monday!
It's a gorgeous day in CA! Just wish I could be outside scrapping! Or be in a sun room. I love the warmth of the sun! But then I suppose I would get sleepy and want to take a nap and wouldn't get any scrapping done! hahaha :)
Ok, so no scrapping just card making here today!
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Apron Strings offered a challenge to make a pink card. I combined this challenge with the Rubber Stamp Chat Challenge HERE and also the Unity Bachelor Challenge Week #3, which was to use polka dots and plaid. I like how this polka dot/plaid card turned out much better than my previous one! I used my cricut to cut the scalloped circles and the paper is Making Memories. The ribbon is Maya Road.

Get Sketchy #8

I found this site from Bree's blog, it's called Get Sketchy. I think I will be a regular on this challenge. Very cute sketch #8!
I used Making Memories paper, did a little stiching and used an unknown stamp. I just love this saying "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step". That's kind of how I feel right now about my business. It's a journey. I took the first step and that was the hardest part. I think it will get easier and better as time passes! Here is my take on the Get Sketchy sketch:

Basic Grey Challenge, Unity Bachelor Week 3 & MFT Challenge SCS

Another card with 3 challenges rolled into it! When I saw the My Favorite Things challenge on Splitcoast Stampers, I had to do it! They are giving away a free digi-stamp here. When I saw this, I thought of paper piecing and how cute it would be to make it have polka dots and plaid. So, I had to redo my Unity Bachelor Week 3 card...but I forgot it has to be a Unity stamp, so stay tuned... :) I used the Basic Grey Challenge Week 5 as my sketch since it looked super cute. I also added a little faux stiching on the side, although it's a little hard to see. Here is the sketch and how my card turned out! I think this one might be going up on Etsy. :)
