Breast Cancer Awareness Blog Hop & Friends with Flair Friday!

Michelle at Inside My Own Private Idaho started a Blog Hop(e) for Breast Cancer Awareness month! Isn't that perfectly delightful? :) I'm happy to be apart of it! If you're here for the hop, you should have come from sweet Sunshine's blog. If you just happened upon my blog, head on over to Michelle's blog to start the hop! I am giving away this Cosmo Cricket Friends chipboard kit (new in a box) to one lucky commenter from this post! (because we should all cherish our friends!) *must comment on 10/30/09, winner will be announced on 10/31/09*
When you're done checking out my card, head on over to Keri's cool blog to continue the Hop(e)!

If you're here for Unity Friends with Flair Friday, you're in the right spot! You are also eligible to win, just comment on my post! Be sure to check out all the talented Friends with Flair on Unity's Blog HERE.
I made this card using Unity's stamps from the Oct KOM. I love the quotes they come up with! This card is honor of Breast Cancer Awareness of course, but I also chose to use the card sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday and their color challenge.

Then I decided to kick it up a notch (thanks Emeril!) and add some sparkle because that's what the challenge is all about at Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog! I added some gold stickles to the sunshine and rock candy stickles(----> very cool!) to the pink ribbon.

...and a close-up...

Whew! That's it for today! Don't forget to sign up for my BLOG CANDY HERE, and also check out my SPECIAL DEAL for the OCT UNITY STORE KIT HERE!---->only good until 10/31!
Have a blessed weekend! :)

Fight Like a Girl

I used the sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You #38 and also incorporated the Just Us Girls Challenge by using a "tissue paper flower".

I loved the video by Mona on the Just Us Girls Challenge site. It was very helpful, although I didn't have the Spellbinders flowers, so I improvised and used my scallop punch...it sort of worked! :)
I used a very cool digi set that I got from Whimsie Doodles that celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness which I think is a wonderful cause! This stamp was only $2.50 and the proceeds go to Breast Cancer Research, how awesome is THAT?! :) (they also have a little boy and a princess girl now along the same lines, SO cute!) I used paper piecing with Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday, which is the cutest paper!
