A Hard Truth...

I have lost faith in my friends and family. Lately I feel like I'm being ignored and pretty much left out of everything. There's a shortage of good, faithful, trustworthy "I got your back" friends.I've been contemplating if I won the lottery, how many friends I'd have then.
I've tried reaching out to people, making friends at the church we used to go to (used to as of late) it was like pulling teeth! Everyone seemed too busy for us. They had their own circle of friends and seemed comfortable with that. So we decided to move on. A year and a half is a long time to invest in people that don't want to reciprocate. It's sad really. I even tried to start up a MOPS group and came close (met with associate pastor a couple times), but feel like the idea was tossed to the wayside. Something else was always more important. What could be more important than moms and their children? (Our future!) I felt pretty unimportant too when no one got back to me on moving forward with it.
Well we are possibly moving to Colorado Springs so we need to focus on that. Maybe that is where we are meant to be. It's hard to say. One minute we are vacationing in Morro Bay and loving California, the next we are getting an unexpected property tax bill for $2,500. I guess that's California for ya.
If we did move I would miss my mother inlaw, she's such a doll. I would miss all the beautiful beaches here too. I would miss the huge melting pot diversity of restaurants here too. Maybe Colorado Springs or Denver has similar culinary hotspots.
Well enough for today. Although I'll keep dreaming about true friends, sandy beaches, relaxing vacations and a close-knit family.

Random Thoughts are Materializing

Hi Friends!

Wow, I have not blogged since November 19th, 2014. I even made promises to blog more....Well, I also made promises to eat healthier, workout, do more for others and take my dog Hunny for more walks. Not much has happened. I blame this on having an almost 3 year old and a 14 month old. Time to stop blaming and making things happen! However, it is a new year (yes even though it is April), it is still 2015. I just finally got a kick in my pants in December/January. My doctor told me that I am borderline diabetic (it runs in our family). So I have decided to make some changes! Part of this will be diet and exercise! I have also started selling It Works products! This is VERY exciting because I have been a customer for almost 6 months, I love the products already and I know they WORK! I have used the wraps but I also use the Cleanser, Toner, Repairage and Preventage.

I will even share with you my results of wrapping using the Ultimate Body Applicator 4 times within the last 2 months! I've seen amazing results. You can see the definition on my hips and the flatness of my tummy. I WAS a skeptic, now I'm a believer! :-)

We don't just have wraps! We have face cleanser, an exfoliating peel, facials, greens, Energy, vitamins, lip & eye cream, and SO much more! Check out my online store here or ask me how to become a Loyal Customer and get my pricing!

Part of this change will be inside me! My inner writer has been begging to get out for a long time. I didn't go to school for writing, I went for fire fighting actually, but sometimes I feel like my head will explode if I don't get my thoughts down on paper!

I have decided to TRY and get up early, get moving before the kids do, make that first cup of coffee and sit down to write. I'll write about my kids, my crafting addictions, my new 21-Day Fix workout  I started with my hubby, my new It Works Adventure or whatever else comes to mind.

Why follow me? Because it will be fun, plus I'm funny and entertaining...well I have entertaining kids at least. Here is one of them. He took mommy's headband while we were working out. Not sure why he took his pants off. Silly boy.

I hope you follow me on my literary adventures! I hope to be blessed by your presence here. xoxo

Stay tuned for a blog post that's been itching to come out! "Things about me you'd NEVER know!"

xoxo,
Charlene

12 Days of Chrirstmas Tags

Here is another quick tag I whipped up for a make n take at a vendor fair I attended. I love how easy this tag was. I started with Lovely As a Tree and stamped it in Mossy Meadow. You can stamp it a 2nd time which will be lighter trees (in the background). Then I stamped the snow using Gorgeous Grunge (love this set - SO versatile!) in Whisper White Craft ink. Then I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler using More Merry Messages. To finish the tag I used some Dazzling Details (glitter glue) on just the trees. This gave a nice finishing sparkle to the tag! I used Crumb Cake seam binding for the ribbon, tied with Cherry Cobbler baker's twine.
So easy and super cute! This is perfect for a gift or even to place on a card! Come back later this week for another tag and a Christmas card!

12 Tags of Christmas

Hello Friends!

I have not posted on here since February and I'm sad. In July I attended the Stampin' Up Convention and had a blast (even though I had my 6 month old with me). I vowed at that time to blog more and post my projects and I've been terrible at it! :-(
Part of the reason for this is because Sophia was a little colicky from about 3 weeks old. Yes this is a real thing. Maybe it was her tummy (it was always grumbling and she would have gas - even when I cut out the milk!), but from about 6-9 on and off every night she would be SO sad. She would cry and fuss and be overtired until she would fall asleep from exhaustion. Poor girl. This went on until she was about 4 months old. A friend of ours gave us Colic Calm and it worked VERY well, too bad he didn't give it to us sooner! It was pretty miserable. But we survived! She's doing great. She's crawling everywhere and pulling herself up on everything tall to stand. She loved to eat and put everything in her mouth! She says mamamama, da da, and coos a lot. She is completely cute. I love her and her little giggle is so contagious! I would have a few more girls if I had more energy and was about 10 years younger! hahaha Seriously, I am almost 39 years old and I'm getting tired! (My 2-1/2 year old wears me out too!!!)

But I am now focused on 1 thing. My Stampin Up business! I'm a stay at home mom so in addition to my 2 littles, I have time to put a little into my business and share what I love with others!
So, this month and for December I'll be sharing some Christmas projects, cards and tags. I LOVE the Thanksgiving through Christmas holiday season! I love decorating, candles, fire places, hot cocoa, Christmas movies, crafting, and wearing scarves and boots! It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! :-)
So that being said....Here are a couple of tags (inspired by projects on Pinterest, with my own twist). I will be sharing more tags as I create them and I'll post them here. I will be having workshops making 6 Christmas tags to anyone that wants to have one! I charge $5 for each person but the class is FREE with any order! Hostesses can also have the option to just make 1 Christmas card per person. (no charge)
This one is made with Lovely As A Tree #127793 and gold embossed #109129. I used Whisper White Craft ink #101731 for the sentiment from More Merry Messages #126402 and the sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim #132983. I also sponged some of the white on the trees and ground, then used the 2-Way Glue #100425 and sprinkled it with Dazzling Diamonds #133751. I think I will use the glitter glue Dazzling Details #124117 next time though. All these products can be purchased at: http://www.stampinup.com/home/en-US/ (use me for your Demonstrator!)

Here is the other tag, which is for a wine bottle (or any kind of soap/lotion bottle). Great for a gift for Christmas (or any time!) I used the Ornament Keepsakes set #128051 and the matching framelits Holiday Ornaments #127816. The sentiment is from More Merry Messages #126402. I cut this tag at 3" x 6-1/2" and scored at 2", then rounded the corners for the top of the tag. For the circle for the hole I used a 1-1/4" punch.

Stay tuned for more Holiday/Christmas tags! Thank you for visiting my blog! PS - Show some love by leaving me a comment! :-) xoxo

Our Baby Girl!!!

Our Baby Girl is Finally Here!!!

Sophia Colleen
Born January 25th, 2014
at 5:41 AM
6 lbs. 9 oz.
19-1/2" long

We decided to name her middle name after my mom Colleen. After 6 grandchildren no one had used her name at all. This is the 7th and most likely last grandchild so we really wanted to honor my mother. We also took our newborn photos ourselves. Photography has gotten so expensive lately and we do have a very nice Nikon D3100 SLR camera. We set her up on blankets on our bed and opened the blinds, put her in a super cute tutu outfit my friend Staci made (super adorable!), and took about 200 pictures! Yay, scrapbooking here I come! ;-) I'm excited about this year and scrapbooking. I hope to really catch up on my son's pictures from his 1st year and both pregnancy pictures.

Lots of exciting things this year! Especially new GOALS that I have this year....blog more, make more cards, scrapbook more, possibly create a stamping ONLINE KIT CLUB?? How fun would that be?! Then I would HAVE to make cards on a MONTHLY basis ;-) I hope to plan this and get it going as soon as THIS month!

I also plan to start my monthly card class again! These cards would be the same as my monthly online club cards. I'm excited to start these again as I didn't have much energy while chasing my almost 20-month old and being 10 months pregnant! I'm not sure how I'll do STILL chasing my 20-month old and nursing my 1-week old, but it will be nice to have a hobby and do something for me. :-)

Hope to see more followers comment and get involved with my blog! I hope to do MORE GIVEAWAYS in 2014 too!!!

Happy Stamping!
Charlene :-)
