Color Throwdown, Jillibean Soup & The Paper Variety

I made this layout for a Color Throwdown challenge and for Jillibean Soup's Facebook page. Oh, I forgot! I also used a paper rosette for the challenge over at The Paper Variety too. Just a simple layout showcasing my first pregnancy pictures! I took a test right after my missed period and was pregnant! I am 8 weeks pregnant for this first ultrasound and we saw the tiny blinking heartbeat.
I'm 36 and finally having a baby...we are SO grateful that it didn't take long even though we had a miscarriage back in May. God is great. We find out if we are having a girl or boy this week!! We are soooo ready to know, pink or blue!

Color Throwdown #130 & TPV Challenges 22

I was so excited to use this color challenge at Color Throwdown because I love these pretty spring colors!

So I started off with my base being the chocolate chip.

I knew that the new fabric Sweet Stitches would be perfect since it comes in Tangerine Tango!
I used the Bigz Flower Die to cut a flower for the card, and So Saffron for the middle of the card.

I incorporated Pretty In Pink by using my Top Note die and even embossed a little Tangerine Tango cardstock. I cut out one of the mini buttons on the fabric for my flower center (how cute is that!?) and added a couple early espresso brads.

I even got BRAVE!! I used my Pixie sewing machine for the first time! I had to try out this fancy stich. It was actually SUPER easy and I like how it turned out! hee hee I think you'll be seeing more sewing from me in the future ;) I followed along on The Paper Variety's challenge HERE for stitching on your project.

Cupcake Craft Challenge # 64 - A Sketch

I created this card for the Cupcake Craft Challenge #64 - A sketch and the Color Throwdown Challenge. But it's kinda funny, I missed the date to get the entry in for Color Throwdown! I think I'll still link it up for grins. :)

I used all Stampin Up paper in rich razzleberry, bordering blue and elegant eggplant. I ran a piece of white cardstock through the cuttlebug and used a foam pad to brush on rich razzleberry ink. I distressed the edge of the bordering blue with a little of the same color and colored in the flower with razzleberry. I even found a flower by Making Memories that was about the same color! The stamp set is my sister in law's, Delight in Life by Stampin' Up. Check out her card too, HERE.
