Two Scrapbooking Challenges Today!

Today I incorporated 2 challenges into 1 scrapbook page. I used Apron Strings Croptober 10/17 challenge and used the Stuck on U Sketches sketch Oct 11-24.
The challenge over at Apron Strings was to incorporate any elements from their 2-page layout....black, white, orange, bats, 31, etc. And here is the sketch from Stuck on U:

Here is my layout:

Wyatt was only 4 months on Halloween and he was such a trooper! His costume was warm. It was actually cool that night and it even sprinkled rain a bit. My sister, her husband, daughter, Wyatt and I were dressed up and went to Chipotle to get a free burrito. (or BOORITO as they called it!) Then we went trick or treating. Not Wyatt lol, he pooped out and just wanted milk. ;) Of course...baby cow...

Apron Strings Challenge 10/16: Color Theory

Today's challenge over at Apron Strings was to use this color pallet or elements to create a card, layout or project. I decided to create a card since I needed to send one to a friend to thank her for hosting a Premier Jewelry show! Here is the color pallet:

I used Stampin Up supplies for my card. To me, the colors looked like Sahara Sand, Pumpkin Pie and Pool Party. I even used the Polka Dot design paper in Pumpkin Pie & Pool Party because of the polka dot background. I love polka dots!! It's hard to tell but I did use Crystal Effects on the elephant stamp. This stamp set is retired because it was a Saleabration set, it's called Patterned Occasions...and I love it! Fun color combo! This would be great for colors in a room in the new house...Hmmmm...

Apron Strings Croptober: Oct 15 Pinterest Challenge

I can't believe it's been 2 months since I have updated my blog :( Shame on me!! I will be better. So first, we did find out boy or girl about 9 weeks ago lol...and.....

It's a GIRL!!!!

We are beyond excited and just feel SO blessed. Everything is going well and I'm about 25 weeks now. I am getting a progesterone shot every week since Wyatt was about 3-1/2 weeks early. I feel pretty good considering we are also MOVING! BUT....the best news is....we are finally buying our first home. So I feel extra extra blessed that we are able to do this. It has been a rough 4 years trying to get into a position where it would be possible. Just goes to show you, NEVER give up and anything is possible!

Now, on to the Apron Strings Pinterest Challenge! I created a scrapbook page that used pleated paper just like the card from the challenge. It was a little difficult folding the design paper and it left visible creases, but I just turned it over and it looked great! I actually made a pocket using it so it would hold the map to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. I forgot how much I LOVE to scrapbook!!!

Exciting News! Baby #2 Announcement!

So we are now expecting baby #2! What an adventure this is! Having a 13month old, trying to keep up and being 15 weeks pregnant...boy am I tired! It's worth it, but I'm tired! Now I'm trying to stamp more and really enjoy my Stampin' Up! business?? I must be crazy! hahaha ....YUP!!

So here is the announcement that my wonderful, patient, husband Galen helped me with. Pose and take pictures of Wyatt, to get everything just right. He took the one where Wyatt is pointing to the ultrasound! Pretty good if you ask me!

I got this idea from Pinterest, of course and I tweaked it a little. I really like the way it turned out. And.....this Thursday we find out BOY or GIRL!!! Hopefully the latter, but just praying for a healthy, beautiful baby!

Have a great week everyone!!

Busy Summer Coming to a Close! Anniversary Card too!

Hi Friends!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! It's been a busy summer...had Wyatt's FIRST birthday...WOW can't believe he is ONE! Also went to a wedding, a few baby showers, the Stampin' Up! Convention 25th Anniversary celebration (AWESOME!!!), and camping for a week! But I am super excited to be home, to have NEW Stampin' Up! goodies to play with and to be creating!
I love the new Simply Created kits which I will be posting projects that I've been creating.
I recently was asked to make an Anniversary card for a friend! What a compliment to know that someone loves my cards enough to have me make them instead of Hallmark. ;) Love that.
So here is my card that I made for her (and kept it sort of masculine like she wanted - I think!)

I used colors Whisper White, Early Espresso, Coastal Cabana, Lucky Limeade (I know it's retired - could use Pear Pizzazz instead!) The button is retired too but it's similar to the new naturals buttons, a wood button would be super cute here too! I also used the wood grain and chevron embossing folders. Also used the scalloped heart of hearts and the full size heart punch.

Hope you stick with my blog! I have some exciting news coming up!! (Business & Personal!) I plan to make more projects using my FAVORITE Stampin' Up! products, more cards, more scrapbook layouts, more craft/home decor projects too!

Diaper Candy!

Hi Friends!

I don't have a card to post today but I wanted to share this cute diaper candy I made!
I had some extra diapers but not enough for a cake or motorcycle like I've made before. This is a quick and easy one to make too!
You just need about 15 diapers, 4 sheets of tissue paper, 12 inches or so of 1/4" or 1/2" ribbon (cut in half), about 1 yard of 1-1/2" ribbon, and clear cellophane wrap or a cellophane bag with the end cut.
Start by putting the diapers into the cake pan in a circular fashion. Use the large rubberband or several little ones tied together and tie it around the diapers to secure it. Wrap the 1-1/2" ribbon around that to hide the rubberbands and secure with clear packing tape. Roll up the tissue paper (I used pink for a girl) and insert it in the middle, do the same on the other side. Wrap the cellophane around it like a candy wrapper and use the thinner ribbon to secure the ends. That's it! Super cute and simple! This would even be really cute for baby shower decorations!

Let me know if you have any questions!! Enjoy!

Premier Jewelry Designs Business!

I am SO excited to announce my jewelry business! I signed up to be a Premier Designs authorized Jeweler/Distributor.What does this mean? It means I am now selling high-fashion quality jewelry backed by a debt-free Christian company that has been in business since 1985!
I wasn't even looking for a job but the opportunity presented itself when I attended a friend's jewelry party! The things that really attracted me was the profit, the flexibility (I work whenever I want to), no quotas!, and the benefits - FREE/half price jewelry I could get. I can work this "job" (if you want to call it that - I call it FUN) in between being a mommy to our 10 mo old son. I am hoping to just start out with a couple/few jewelry shows a month and take that extra money (hopefully $750-$1000) and put it straight towards my student loan (culinary school!). Then my goal will be to use that money to save for vacations for our family!
This is a great home-based business and a great opportunity for anyone. I can work part-time (12 hours or less a week) and make great money. :) Thanks to Jessica Becker for sharing this opportunity with me!
If you are interested in hearing more about Premier Designs, send me an email, I'd love to hear from you! JewelryLady911@gmaildotcom.
