Cricut Challenge #43 - Challenge Me Monday

I found the coolest cricut challenge blog! It's called Fantabulous Cricut. The challenge this week was to create a card using something sweet on your project (ie, ice-cream, candy, cake, etc). I used a cupcake and a present from the Doodlecharms cartridge and made a card for my niece (she just turned 8!).
I used the following Stampin Up paper for my card:
Whisper White for the base
Daffodil Delight patterned paper for the layer
Bashful Blue and Pacific Point for the present
Regal Rose, Rose Red and Crumb Cake for the cupcake

I went back and added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the candle to make it really shine! Hope you like my card, please comment! I love comments! :) Thanks for stopping by!

Filmstrip Save the Date Tutorial

Hi Everyone!!

I'm excited because I have just created my first video on You Tube! I wanted to make my own Save the Dates for our wedding using a filmstrip photo. A New Year, No Baggage

Hi my fellow readers! ... If I have any out there ;) If not, at least I'll know I'll be reading this later in life and maybe my "future" kids as well. ;)
I say "no baggage" in the new year because that is what the guest Pastor Albert Tate spoke about today in church. Leave your baggage behind and trust God. So, that's what I did. I stood up, raised my hands to the sky and said, God, here you go. I have a lot of things in my past that I am not proud of...2 divorces, moving all around all the time, not trusting God, letting a lot of pain and sorrow build up for what I lost and what I don't have. I stood up today in church and gave away all my excess baggage so I can start fresh and look forward to my new life. My life with God, and Galen. Only 143 days until I am Mrs. Becker...I'm SO excited about that! :) We hope to start trying for a baby right after the wedding in May. It all seems so surreal, but I guess that is what makes it a little scary...the unknown. But that is what you get when you lose that familiar baggage you're carrying around and trust God to take you where you need to go.
I'm ready Lord, let's go!

Scraproom Blog Challenge

For this challenge at The Scraproom Blog, the challenge was to use patterned paper as your background. Easy peasy! I love to do that. I pulled out my Stampin' Up Halloween DSP (love these colors!) and went to town.
I used a sketch layout from Nuts About Sketches (love this site!) It's perfect for when I feel like I have lost my scrapbook mojo!

Scrapbook Challenge - Apron Strings

Hi Everyone!!

I'm back doing scrapbook and card challenges!! I'm so excited to start knocking out some pages because my pile of memories is getting quite large! ;)
I will post Stampin' Up exclusive layouts/cards here on my business site, and any other misc challenges HERE on my new personal site for my family (soon to be Mr & Mrs Becker in May 2011!).

So here is a challenge from Apron Strings where we can only use piles on our desk to create a page layout. Thank goodness I just had my stamp-a-stack and I had lots of goodies to choose from! I used Deck the Halls DSP, Crumb Cake cardstock, Cherry Cobbler Seam binding and a few pearls. You can find specials on my Christmas items HERE. Check out the 20% discount you can get!

Halloween Card, Treat Boxes & Decor!

Here's a cute Halloween card we made in my Meet Up last Wednesday night. It was very fun making the little treat boxes too! These qualify for a super cool challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenges too! For more pictures visit my Meet Up site or my Stampin Up website!





I also made a super cool Halloween candle holder for really cheap! I used 2 images from the Spooky Things decor elements from Stampin Up HERE, a glass candle holder from the Dollar Tree, and rocks from the Dollar Tree, added a candle and wa-lah! Spooky but gorgeous candle holder! You can make about 5 candle holders with one set of decor elements. I used the "Trick-or-Treat" element to decorate a candy dish (again bought the dish at the dollar store).

Mom's Sewing Room #2

I would like to post all the pictures and videos with the progress on my mom's sewing room, but I just couldn't figure it out! So, here is a picture of the finished room. My mom was pretty upset, but she got over it real quick :) She does like her new room. Now she just needs her new cabinets and shelves to put all her fabric away.
