In honor of World Card Making Day, I'm making cards & giving away free scrapbooking products! I made this card to be donated to the troops and I used up some challenges too! I incorporated the Cupcake Craft Challenge 59:Cute as a bug (yep had to use a bug on it), I also used the Flourishes Challenge #35 which was to "go beyond the frame", I used the Midnight Madness Sketch #21 for my layout and I also used plaid & polka dots for the Unity Bachelor Challenge Week#3. I figured I would try to go all out on this one! :) Here is my card:
One lucky commenter will win a sweet treat from me in honor of World Card Making Day! All you have to do is tell me in a comment below which technique is your favorite when making your cards! It's that easy! I'll use random.org to pick a winner on Monday morning! So be sure to leave your comment by Sunday, October 4th, 11:59PM PST.
Hope you have a great card-making day!

Hi Charlene, what a pretty card. Love the cute butterflies and the papers are gorgeous. Love the colour scheme you've used. Thanks for joining us at CCC this week. Hugs, Denise x
ReplyDeleteCharlene, what a fun card you have created here. I love the dark background. It makes all your elements pop. The bird dp is awesome and the butterflies are outstanding. Just wonderful. My favorite technique is embossing...all kinds!!! Thanks for playing along with us this week at MMSC. We sure do appreciate it.

Fabulous card! Love the papers and the stamps of course! My favorite technique right now is distressing. I like to ink up the edges or use some sand paper on the cardstock.
ReplyDeleteI think I have a bunch of favorites! I agree with purple princess, distressing is something I tend to always do. Also Sewing on a card really adds that WOW factor for a recipient when they realize that you used a sewing machine since everything else is sort of the norm. Thanks Charlene for a chance to win
ReplyDeleteHello Charlene - this is so adorable - love everything about it. Such pretty colours and that senitment is lovely Thank you for playing the MMSC and we look forward to seeing you play along next week! Don't forget to check back for the HUGE Give Away and prizes this month!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite technique would have to be embossing - it add so much texture and dimenstion to a card - can't live without it!! LOL!
