Good morning Friends!
I was lucky enough to be able to purchase some new toys to craft with. By lucky enough I mean, my husband let me and "toys", I mean some new products from the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog!
The challenge over at SU-Only Challenges, #62 was to use some of our new "toys" and create anything. I decided on a simple Valentine's card.
In love with the new stamp set Hearts A Flutter and the matching die cuts to go with! :) I created a card using some Pinterest inspiration and came up with my own twist on it. I love how it turned out! I love the Pool Party embossing powder! It looks so pretty on the card stock!! The small blue heart on the stamped image is punched from the Owl Punch in case you were wondering. This will be one of my cards for my card class this Sunday...I can't wait!
PS - I was just thinking about how different my life is with a baby. I get up to feed him, change him, love on him, then take a brief shower to at least rinse the stink off of me (haha). Then I make him breakfast, feed him, change him, get him milk. When he plays I grab a hot tea, I just discovered Green Tea with Blueberry and Acai, YUM. Then I can sit for mere minutes to rest until he needs me. It's amazing that we now live for our children instead of just ourselves They need our care, nurturing and love. It's such a gift. Hardest work I've ever done...and I've done hard work (I was a Fire Fighter!), but the best gift we can be given. I know one day I'll reclaim some "me" time for more card making or scrap booking, but right now, it's all about Wyatt. I will still make time to sneak in my blogging! :-)
Enjoy!
Sweet stampin,
Charlene

Very beautiful card! The colors go together perfectly. Sometimes I miss the days that were all about my daughter, but at the time, my brain was screaming for something more than Elmo. :) I'm glad you can enjoy it while you are in it. Thanks for joining SUO Challenges this week.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card, I love that DSP...makes every card so special! I'm anxiously waiting on our first grandchild to "experience" that joy all over again! The time goes by SOOOO quickly, trust me!
